1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly when you create an account or use the Service, as well as information generated automatically during your use.
Account Information
When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password (or credentials from a third-party sign-in provider such as Apple or Google). You may optionally add a profile photo and handicap index.
Round & GPS Data
When you record a round, we collect hole-by-hole scores, putts, fairways hit, greens in regulation, sand saves, course name and tee selection, date played, round format, and handicap differentials. If you enable GPS-assisted course mapping, we collect your device location during the round to provide distance-to-pin and shot-tracking features. Location access is optional and can be disabled in your device settings at any time.
Device Identifiers
We collect your device type, operating system version, app version, and push notification token (used to deliver league alerts, event reminders, and scoring updates). We do not collect your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA / GAID).
Usage Analytics
We collect aggregate, anonymized data about which features you use, how often you open the app, and general interaction patterns. This data contains no personally identifiable information and is used solely to improve the Service.
Optional Profile Data
You may voluntarily add a handicap index, home course, preferred tee color, and a short bio. These fields are always optional and can be left blank or removed at any time.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Xordinari Golf app and Service
- Calculate your handicap index and display your round stats and history
- Power tournament scoring, league leaderboards, skins games, and Nassau tracking
- Send push notifications for league events, scores, and important updates — you can opt out in your device’s notification settings
- Process subscription payments securely via Stripe
- Respond to support requests and enforce our Terms of Service
- Detect and prevent fraud or unauthorized access
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
Optional marketing. With your consent, we may send you product updates, tips, and seasonal promotions by email. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link in any email or by emailing privacy@xordinari.com.
We do not sell your personal data. Not now, not ever.
3. Artificial Intelligence Features
Xordinari Golf offers optional AI-powered features including the AI Caddie, pre-round briefings, post-round debriefs, and scorecard photo analysis. These features are powered by Anthropic’s Claude AI API. Use of any AI feature is entirely voluntary; all AI features are clearly labeled in the app and can be ignored or disabled at any time.
What We Send to Anthropic
When you use an AI feature, relevant golf data is transmitted to Anthropic’s API servers for processing. This data may include hole-by-hole scores, GIR percentage, putting average, par-type breakdown, handicap trend, course name, and contextual information such as weather or tee selection. For scorecard photo analysis, the photo image is transmitted for optical recognition and score extraction.
What we do not send: We do not transmit your name, email address, payment information, GPS coordinates, device identifiers, or any other personally identifiable information to Anthropic. Only the golf data necessary to generate a useful response is included.
Data Retention and Model Training
Your golf data and any questions you submit are processed transiently to generate a response. Under our agreement with Anthropic, your data is not retained by Anthropic for AI model training purposes. AI-generated responses are cached locally on your device for your convenience and are not shared with other users.
Guidance and Entertainment Only
AI-generated content — including caddie advice, pre-round briefings, post-round debriefs, and any coaching insights — is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only. It should not replace instruction from a qualified PGA professional or certified golf instructor. Accuracy of AI responses is not guaranteed.
Anthropic’s Privacy Policy
Because your golf data passes through Anthropic’s API, Anthropic’s privacy policy also applies to that data. You can review it at anthropic.com/privacy.
Opting Out
All AI features are optional. You can opt out simply by not using them. You may also disable AI features entirely in the app under Profile → Settings → AI Coaching. Disabling the feature immediately stops all data transmission to Anthropic.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
Service Providers (Third-Party Processors)
- Stripe — payment processing for subscriptions. We never store your credit card number; all payment data is handled directly by Stripe. Stripe Privacy Policy
- Firebase / Google Cloud — authentication, database, file storage, and cloud functions. Data is stored in US-based data centers and governed by Google’s data processing terms.
- Expo / EAS — push notification delivery and over-the-air app updates.
- AI Provider — anonymized round statistics and in-app questions when the AI coaching feature is enabled (see Section 3).
League Commissioners
If you join a league, the league’s commissioner can view your scores, handicap, and round history within that league. This is necessary to administer tournaments and leaderboards. Commissioners cannot access your email address, payment information, or data from rounds outside their league.
Legal Disclosures
We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Xordinari Golf, our users, or the public.
5. Data Retention
Active accounts. Your account data — including your complete round history, handicap record, and profile — is retained for as long as your account is active. Your golf history is yours; we never automatically delete it.
Deleted accounts. When you delete your account, your personal information and all associated round data are permanently purged from our systems within 30 days. This action is irreversible. Backups containing your data are rotated out within the same 30-day window.
Aggregate analytics. Anonymized, aggregate usage analytics containing no personally identifiable information are retained indefinitely to help us improve the product.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal data. We honor these rights for all users regardless of location.
- Access — View your complete round history, stats, and account data within the app at any time.
- Correction — Update or correct your account information at any time in Profile → Account Settings.
- Deletion — Delete your account from Account Settings. All personal data is purged within 30 days.
- Export — Export your complete round history as a CSV file from your Profile screen, with no waiting or approval required.
- Opt-out of marketing — Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the link in any email or by contacting us directly.
- Restrict processing — You may disable optional features (such as AI coaching or GPS tracking) to limit data collection.
To submit a data access, correction, export, or deletion request, or for any privacy-related questions, contact us at privacy@xordinari.com. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Children
The Xordinari Golf Service is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, please contact us at privacy@xordinari.com and we will delete that information promptly.
9. Security
We take reasonable and industry-standard measures to protect your personal information:
- All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher between your device and our servers.
- Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256 encryption provided by our cloud infrastructure.
- Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis.
- Passwords are never stored in plain text; we use industry-standard hashing via Firebase Authentication.
No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you become aware of a security vulnerability or incident, please notify us immediately at privacy@xordinari.com.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes — those that meaningfully affect how we collect or use your data — we will send an email notice to the address on your account before the change takes effect.
